Education is a major stumbling block in Brazil’s bid to accelerate its economy and establish itself as one of the world’s most powerful nations.

The Department of Education released loan repayment numbers for 8,000 American colleges and universities which showed that for-profit school graduates face massive amounts of debt that far outstrip the debt of their nonprofit and public school peers. Higher numbers of students who go to for-profit schools end up being unable to repay their loans.

…for some reason, a single woman with very low pay does not qualify for grants– but I knew single moms and married women with one kid who qualified for grants). Maybe a class-action lawsuit will bring some relief. My school was definitely overpriced but it isn’t the school’s fault I can’t find work– there were massive layoffs this past year. I obviously chose the wrong field and should have gone into nursing. In the meantime, yet again this year I won’t be able to make payments on my loan and the interest will keep piling up.

Just like in virtually every Industry in this “For profit world” debt has become ubiquitous.
I mentioned weeks ago how a major retailer had a bulletin in their backroom office wherein they encouraged their employees to get customers to use their store CREDIT cards because the chain made 95 percent of all its profits off interest payments on debt.
5 percent came from selling product.
